does anyone know where to get fire tone out info for use with the bcd996t scanner? thanks!

In the database here... If it's not listed - you'll need to find it with a PC hooked up, check the FTO thread in the Uniden section if you need info on that.

What agencies are you looking for? I've been compiling tones for different agencies in Hartford, Tolland, Middlesex, and New Haven counties. I'll post them in full later when I have enough to make a good list.

You can click "submit" on the database tab for each county and that'll speed the process up...

I could... but they're also untested as I haven't had time to sit around on one frequency all day waiting for the tones. I don't want to submit potentially incorrect information to the database as I've seen it happen far too often. However I'll post them here when I get off work so you can test them and really speed the process up.

There is some software that is advertised in the margins that will supposedly decode the alert tones. Another note is that it appears the next generation of Unidens will decode the tones with a readout.
