I just wanted to confirm that the Tone Out feature cannot be run during a normal scan? Similar to the scanner checking for wx warnings?

What be nice if you have a open monitor for the standby frequency. That is correct - either scanning or in Fire Tone Out, but not both at the same time.
When you think about it, there is some logic. If you are actively scanning, you'll hear the fire dispatching, especially if the dispatch frequency is set up as a priority channel.
In Fire Tone Out, you want to listen to a fire dispatch frequency and hear calls for service being dispatched which are preceded by tones.
Wouldn't holding on the frequency rather than going into fire tone out accomplish this? What be nice if you have a open monitor for the standby frequency.
Then your best bet is buying a Minitor instead of tying up your scanner. And much cheaper in the long run.I want it to act like a Minitor and still Alert for the tones.
