Ive been trying to figure out the tone out feature on my 396xt. How does this specifically work? I tried the tone for 154.160MHz from the database, but it says band too high. Does anybody have the tone out numbers for gtatiour county? Or of theyre's a link to them, where is it? I am still very new to digital, and this scanner, so any little bit of info helps.
Thanks all

The tones listed in the database are the "PL" tones for the repeater tower, to only allow you to hear Gratiot Co, and not other areas on the same frequency. They are not the same as the audio tones for alerting the pagers.
I dont think there is a list of the Fire Dept tones listed on here yet.
I just started gathering the tones for Gratiot Co and I can post them as soon as I have them. I can only get them as they dispatch it, and I have to be at the desk while they tone it out, to be able to see them.
Im in Merrill BTW.

Oh excellent! Thanks so much for helping out.. The 396xt is an amazing peice of equipment, but its quite time consuming figuring out everything still. And a quick question to you EC-7.. Are gratiot counties TAC frequencies mpscs?

Yes they do have some TAC channels on MPSCS system, but I dont think all of the fire trucks have 800Mhz equipment yet, since they dont always use them. Sometimes they use VHF Fireground channels, but Ive never heard them on any of the ones listed except for 154.295 DNR for Medflight landings.
