That is interesting. I called my fire dept once a long time ago because I smelled some gas smell out in my back yard. I told them it was not an emergency but I wanted their opinion on if it was a problem. They sent a fire truck over in five minutes. It ended up being nothing major and I apologized for wasting their time but they said better safe than sorry.

Sounds like maybe someone made a decision that was not in a position to?
