Fireground channels slow to scan

Lake County is on the border of Illinois. We have mutual aid fire companies come across the border occasionally to assist. I've programmed 4 conventional frequencies from the RR Database to it's own FL. In scan mode, when it hits this FL, it locks on for 2.5 seconds to scan these 4 frequencies. To solve this I had to delete the channels and enter them manually on the radio. Is there a logical explanation? SDS200, 536HP using Sentinel

Modify your delay and hold settings for the frequencies and FL either in Sentinel or manually by accessing "manage favorites".

If the frequencies use PL tones, try turning up the squelch until they scan faster. Set the Hold time to 0.

get them out of a dedicated FL and put them with everything else you listen to.
