Firmware Update ?

Does my scanner , BCD536HP, need updated ? I bought it about a little over a year ago.

Also, should there be lights on behind the silver knob ? I seen videos that show it but mine doesnt do it.

connect to sentinel, check for update. There have been a couple firmware updates over the past year.

You have to program the color light around the silver knob

Which is something you do in Sentinel. It is a channel setting called "Alert Light" when you are editing a Favorites List.

This only is applicable to Favorites Lists as far as I know. If you scan only the full database, you are unable to make this setting.
