BCT15X: Firmwear update issue

It's newer.....

I think I've read somewhere that the newer BCT15X scanners have that 1.03.02 version.

It isn't posted/available on Uniden's Web site but version 1.03.02 is being released on the newer BCT15X scanners.

The older 1.03.00 is what is posted/available on Uniden's Web site.

I was on hold listening to elevator music for over 2 hours yesterday waiting on Uniden support for help. I have not even been able to register it as of yet CRAZY. I sent them an email to call me hope that helps.

Pricci: I've been right here trying to help. It sounds like you have a repair issue, which you can initiate at Repair

Why are you needing to register it? There are no functions that require registration (and only proof-of-purchase secures your warranty, registration does nothing in this regards).

This is a VERY common problem in the 15/15x models
I have had a few repaired at the canadian distributor.

The "front end" goes on the radios (sorry thats not a technical term). It doesnt seem to affect the 996/996xt just the 15

A few cases I heard about happened when the 15 antenna was too close to a transmitter (say CB in a vehicle etc).

I cant say what caused your issue, but if its not receiving anything its a VERY common problem and needs repair

I have the same issue probably. I have "downgraded" the firmware probably from factory newer version to the 1.03 version from the official site, which I assumed is the newest and most stable one. Before this everything was OK and recepion was good. After that my scanners works, but it is not recieving any signals. It is not the feeder/connector/anntena issue as my other scanner works perfectly fine. I have bought it 3 months ago. Is sending to rapair the only solution for this problem or Uniden could send me a correct *.scn file for reupload?

I'm having an issue where my scanner is getting hung up on my programed trunked channels. Almost like an open mic but on every channel. It's a Motorola system. Suffolk County NY. I downloaded the new firmware, reinstalled all the frequencies but no luck. Even does it with the squelch all the way up and I also moved the scanner.
Any idea on how to fix it?

The current firmware for the BCT15X is 1.05.03. I just updated mine a few weeks ago. It's working fine.
