Age: 30

Cassette: Had these pretty much since I was born, it seems, so I couldn't tell you
8 track: "Ford Motor Company Presents Stereo For Today" (1976 edition)
LP: "The Best of Disney" (volumes I and II)
CD: "Fievel Goes West" songtrack
Minidisc: some religioid worship music crap that was on my parents' "approved" list
MIDI file: CANYON.MID (should be fairly self-explanatory)
MP2 file: 440 Hz sine @ 0 dBFS, 60000 msec, 44100/320K/CBR stereo, Fraunhofer codec (circa June 2004)
First and possibly last MP3 file: http://mistman.pdp10.org/pub/filebox/tbolt.mp3.zip

The land of broken calculators.
The record and cassette was probably something for children. I'm racking my brain to remember the first cassette I ever bought with my own money and I don't remember. I don't remember my first MP3 either.

The only one I remember, and because it was so new and so different and the first ones came in those really long cardboard boxes, was my first CDs (bought at the same time) and that was A-ha, Hunting High and Low (album), Pet Shop Boys (the one with West End Girls), and Pat Metheny Group, the album with Last Train Home. Those must've been casualties of Hurricane Andrew because I don't seem to have any of them anymore.

First Album: When I was young I didn't buy records, but my parents had several and I would listen to children's songs and oldies.

First Tape: Buddy Holly

First CD: I have no idea. It could have been Fleetwod Mac.

First MP3: I have no idea. I had Real Player and downloaded a bunch. Could have been Dance The Night Away.
