First Scanner, Pro-197

Does anyone have a file setup for Dallas, TX and the surrounding counties for a Pro 197 readable by Win500 that I can have? I'm extremely new to scanning and just moved back to Dallas from spending the past year in Denver where I had a coworker @ Radio Shack set it up (for Denver obviously) and was hoping I could bum a file from someone to have my scanner instantly programmed. Thanks a bunch!

pm me your email address. I'll email you a file if you like. I'm in Dallas, The file I use in my PSR500 has Dallas, Tarrant, and the contiguous counties (Collin, Denton, Parker, Ellis, Kaufman, etc). WIN500 or PSREdit 500 (I have both).

Hi, I'm Scott, KB5YOK, and just got a new Pro 197....wonderful reciever, but very complex for me. Could you also provide me with DFW files? I would greatly appreciate it! It will also be my first attempt to actually load the radio scanner.

Why not take your Premium Subscription & import the info directly from RR Database??

Aren't the files for that area already in the V-scanner memory?

Thanks for the help heigtx. The scanner has the file for Dallas. But there goes the old adage, "Work smarter, not harder". Why start all over when I can start off of a file that's been in the works for a while? Either way, the file heigtx sent works wonderfully. I've made minor modifications and added the Addison Airport, but that's it. If any of you guys want scanners in TX, I work for RadioShack, so come see me!
