WS1040: Fixing a blemish.

I am wondering how I can cover up a blemish on my WS1040. It fell and some of the black is now rubbed off.Will a permanent marker work?.

If you're satisfied with the results then I would say 'it works'. If you're looking for a more specific repair method a picture of the damage would be helpful.
