I will be in your state at the above location in July. Was thinking about bringing my scanner but was not sure if I would even get any traffic in this area. I am not sure where in Flathead Lake, I know that it is big. I will try to provide more details soon.

LEt me know if its worth bringing the scanner?

Looks like it hasn't been updated since 2003, but there's not that much growth in Montana! :wink:

When I was in MT a couple of years ago I took my 2M ham HT and was able to pick up most traffic. Wish I had a frequency list for you, but my hard drive crashed between then and now.

Depending on which part of Flathead Lake you're near, it could be interesting. The north end in Flathead County is you're typical western hick and snooty resort mix... fairly tame. The south end in Lake county is Flathead Indian Res. US Highway 93 has the highest rate of mva's and dui's in the state. Not that those things are pleasant, but at least there is something to listen to.

www.myscanner.com is a nice site to use, yes.
