I am picking up a Motorola control channel on 410.00. It is very strong, any one have any ideas who it is. I am thinking it may be the Federial Prison in Ashland.

What sysid is showing up? Are you able to run pro96com on the CC?

The sysid is A 514 H. I don't have pro96com.
Pro96com is a free software package that will decode a P25 Control channel data stream from the following scanner models:
Radio Shack Pro-96
Radio Shack Pro-2096
GRE PSR-500
GRE PSR-600
Radio Shack Pro-106
Radio Shack Pro-197
Uniden BCD396XT
Uniden BCD996XT
Anritsu S412D Monitor
If you have one of the scanners llisted above and a programming cable I highly recommend you download the software from Pro96Com - Control channel decoder for P25 Trunked Radio Systems and give it a try.
If it is not a P25 CC you could try trunker, which is available at Trunker - The RadioReference Wiki
or unitrunker which is available at
UniTrunker - The RadioReference Wiki
This will help you determine what other frequencies are being used by this system. Hopefully, then we can narrow down who is actually using it.
