typical RR Admin reply...why not just give a newbie the answer...instead of increasing the number of posts you show....if you would do your research, you would find most people can not comprehend everything they attempt to read on a computer.....I have donated over 30 years of computer knowledge for FREE to whoever wanted it...but when I ask a question I get the same kind of replies as above, and I am older with bad eyes......oh well, I guess Admin perceives they are important....

The answer is fairly complex, and many times it's wise to answer by getting the basics down first. Take some time to think of the big picture before you slam someone

sorry, but I am not slamming, just read replies by Admin people....there is a pattern there.....if RR does not like my comments, which I should be free to speak, then refund my money and I will leave...pretty simple....Admin people should treat people like they are customers, and that is what a board is for, to find information.......so be friendly, and don't perceive you are important, there are a lot more important people out there, who deserve respect.....

I don't see a problem with Mike's answer. How would you explain talkgroups to someone who doesn't understand trunking.? Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to catch fish and feed him for the rest of his life.

Mike gives the most accurate answer. Sorry if you don't like it. If you haven't noticed, this forum is frequented by all kinds of people with varying backgrounds. Many haven't half a clue about radios but think they do. Providing information ONLY as you suggest leads often to a lengthy thread with the OP still scratching his head in confusion. READ, LEARN.

guys....you did not completely read my first comment.....all you saw was the slamming part.....I for one, and I know I am not alone, have a very difficult time comprehending what is being said in an article when reading it from a computer screen......that is why I ask questions, but don't get explanations......here......I belong to a forum that has about 500,000 members....they never refer you to links unless you ask to be referred to links....it would be just as easy to give a short explanation, and then tell someone a good place to look would be at such and such a link....but then the attitude of people in this forum is making people think you have no interest in their problems, so you refer them away....and I would bet, sometimes for good....really makes sense, don't it....

As is true in most situations, you must complete elementary school before jumping into college. Learn the basics (already accurately described in wiki) then ask your EDUCATED questions.

That does not make sense. You can't understand the information on a computer screen but if I read it and regurgitate it for you, you can then understand that after reading it from a computer screen? Huh?
