I heard rumors that on the new system ,that if the opp and the moh are both using thier crossband repeaters that some has to switch to a different channel so that they don't talk over one another

They do not share the same mobile repeater frequencies so there shouldn't be problems.

However, if they are close enough together (like any system) the repeaters could possibly interfere with each other.

It happened even before Fleetnet. The 411.3125 OPP repeater would sometimes interfere with the MOH's 413 repeaters if the vehicles were parked close enough together.

Haven't heard any reports of it happening on the new system yet.

moh crossband repeaters

if the moh has crossband frequencies on the new fleetnet system should they not be listed on the fleetnet site along with the opp and mto? if not what are the frequencies :)

MOH & OPP conducted extensive testing when the new VRs were being developed. In certain combinations of two or three, the possibility exists for cross channeling and/or interference.

One change that was made to minimize the interference was to "mix up" the tx/rx pairs for the MOH repeaters. None of them (except VR 2) use an offset of 5. There is a sixth VR (413.7875).

I can't find my list of frequency pairings, but VR Special and VR 2 were switched after the initial installation because of some problems with the original VR 2 frequency pairings.

VR Special is only programmed into the portables, not the mobiles. At some point in the future you may see it used at Pearson Airport or other venues where paramedics are outside of radio contact with their vehicle.
