Hi Dave. Well I thought about that, but North Bay is a long way
north to be picking up much from Zone 1 or 2. I just thought
that since I heard techs chatting I would mention the "activity".
Zone 2 ends somewhat south and east of North Bay. However, with an external antenna I can hear Zone 2 Site 12 (Mount St. Patrick) which is about the same map distance between Huntsville (which is in Zone 2) and N.Bay. So you might be able to hear Zone 2, even with normal propogation.
>Ambulance and MTO will be analog. OPP will be digital.
No oops. This will be true when Zone 3 comes online. I am aware of the status on Zone 1/2. MTO Enforcement will be digital, regular operations analog, and I have not heard anything about Corrections, who are still on VHF/UHF conventional.
Hum, you make me wonder where you are Dave. I thought it
was common knowledge that there will be 5 Ministries on the
Ontario Fleetnet system. In fact, Georgian Ambulance dispatch
is already on it, and Kingston Ambulance dispatch is set to
change over in Feb/March 2005. AND....MTO has already
changed over in Zone 2. Just where are you Dave, and
where are you getting your information ?
