Fleetnet soft ID

While listening to Fleetnet Z-1 , I overheard a 5-Wiskey unit come upon an accident on the 406 asking when a 5 Golf Niagra unit would be attending.. I have never heard of a Wiskey unit from the Central region. Any suggestions???

They're Highway Rangers based out of Aurora.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are the Ranger, only found in the Central Region?

They are from the Highway Safety Division patrolling the major expressways.

Ah no worries

They used to park on the HWY01 and HWY02 talkgroups, but that isn't the case anymore, as they have been integrated into the various detachments, as opposed to being based out of Aurora.

One correction, MNR units are just Romeo not 5Romeo.

Much like MTO Enforcement units are just Tango.
