Hi Everyone,

This is my first post so bear with me! I'm in the Stoney Creek area and am trying to program multiple fleetnet towers into one bank, does anybody have a suggestion as to which and how many towers I should program in each bank? I'm using a BC296D with ARC250Basic. I noted in a previous thread that the banks have to be programmed based on the towers distances from one another. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and have a good one!

If you are programming multiple towers into one bank, you must make sure you can only hear one control channel.

In Stoney Creek, it would be unadvisable to program Grimsby and Hamilton into the same bank. The scanner would stop on the first control channel it hears and ignore the other site.

However, you could probably stick Edgar and Brantford into the same bank. If you travelled up the 400, then you would be capable of listening to the Edgar site. If you travelled up on the mountain or west along Hwy403, you would pick up Brantford.

You could even add a 3rd or 4th tower into the bank as well. Something up towards the northern end of Lake Huron such as Goderich and perhaps another tower on the west side of London.

It just takes some thought and programming creativity.

You could always enable attenuation on the control channels so they drop out quicker while leaving the voice channels at full strength.

Hullo:
From your area you can probably get two towers for sure, Hamilton and Grimsby. Make sure that those 2 towers are in separate banks.
Here is a suggestion for a few more banks.
3) Cedarwoods (Kitchener), Mississauga, Edgar
4) Balinafad, Dyers Bay
5) N. Falls, Toronto
6) Brantford, London
7) Welland/King City
8) Primrose/Wiarton

For the most part the towers in the banks listed here are far enough apart from each other.
Hope this helps

Am I missing something, I thought Grimsby tower is no longer operational?

It isnt, they use a tower in Fonthill and have used it since the spring of '05.

Do you realize this thread is almost 4 years old?
