I noticed it running code into the Children’s Hospital location off of Highway 7 & I-25 (469 W 168th Street, Broomfield). Just curious what the difference might be between that and a private ambulance. Is Terra 1 used in connection with FFL? Also I'm assuming they operate off of the FFL freq.’s and Med Channels.

I believe that they're FFL's ground unit for use when the helo's can't fly.

It's a Critical Care Unit that can be used anytime to transport patients that are in need of a higher level of care that a paramedic can't give.

Also remember FFL has the contract to provide the Children's Transport Team ground services will the Terra rigs so that's where you often see them also.

Terra-2 is normally based in Frisco and is in-service with the L/G 2 crew when they are down for weather, about 50% of the time in the winter.
