Channel 7 aired a 30 minute special on the 33 minute response of Denver Health to the plane crash.
33 Minutes To 3-4 Right - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver
I know a lot of the scanner community were yelling at their radios listening to Denver Health dilly dally their code 9 response to DIA, at least I know I was one.
And to hear Dr. Gabow say she was proud, that just turned my stomach. DGH was a great system. But the knife and gun club has rested on its laurels far too long.

I saw that...great documentary! DG definitely needs some work as far as response times. It blows my mind why it took so long to have an ambulance stationed out there. I think if I'm ever in Denver, and I need an ambulance, I'm going to just drive myself (if possible) like the paramedic said...pretty scary if you ask me.

I do not know the systems. Can someone explain ? I do know that the DIA Radio system has EMS channels //first aid. Im assuming they have Med staff in terminals Ive seen the golf carts?
Im guessing that is just for the terminals? You would think it would not take much to just park a unit there or at the fire station just for this kind of thing even unmanned would be better than nothing.
This does amaze me and they said that DIA is the largest/busiest airport with no stationed AMB .on site wow heads should roll.

No public comments regarding that night, but I would be happy to share in person sometime.

Yes Jeffrey they have medics stationed in each terminal during the busy times with access to mountain bikes, golf carts and fly cars as well so they do cover the area surrounding DIA including the runways as well and were first onscene of course to the crash. One of the issue became the lack of a transport ambulance actually stationed at DIA they would often rely on Rural Metro from Aurora or Northglenn from Comm City as there closest car but since 1404 that has changed there is now a DG ambulance stationed at DIA 24/7.
