I just herd St.Thomas police say they are calling houses to wake people up and get them out of their homes due to flooding, also officers are going door to door. But i herd their dispatcher say that AChannel called and asked if they had a command center set up to deal with this.
Anyone know anything about what their "command center" may be?

Guess they cant get down the road with their cars and are now useing their sirens to wake people up and call the police to complain about it and the dispatcher will tell them whats going on.
Or if they come out hes gonna use the PA. Kinda cool idea since he dont want to get his feet wet... 2 feet of water

Yeah it's pretty crazy in places. I was around the North end of London today and the flooding was insane. A lot of parking lots and private residence lots completely flooded. Was listening to London roads guys and they were saying the Dingman Drive area in the south end was a mess... completely washed out. Also heard the OPP thru the night trying to evac people down in the Pt Burwell area too.

In wallaceburg the river is overlowed... and thats a good 3 feet rise, and all the ice has came up and is blocking the road ways. CKPS was getting people out of their homes due to ice comming twards it.
Would these police services have some place for people to go?
And would the fire depts/public works try to do anything about the ice to try and get it free of the roads?

I am sure you saw the footage of Union Station flooding.
The rivers and creeks here were running very fast and very full.

My parking lot was under about a foot of water this AM, the good thing is the snow is gone :).

I was hearing tons of activity on CK Common that night.
Flooding is just starting to affect Chatham tonight, Thames Street is completely impassible, some houses are flooded. Due to peak here Monday afternoon at 17-18 feet above normal.

I tried just now to give them a listen from here in Strathroy, but no dice. I swung my yagi around to the west, and I can hear the control channel but it's just too weak to decode. Actually, the Pro-43 that I'm using to drive UniTrunker doesn't hear the control channel at all... Just full static. With my Pro-106 you can hear the control channel and it's strong enough for the radio to identify it.... but that's about it. Decode rate on the radio is only about 5%.

There isn't anything happening in Wallaceburg now, the ice jam that was causing the flooding there was cleared away by icebreakers over the weekend.
In Chatham the Thames is starting to recede now, it peaked yesterday night. It flooded a few homes on the banks of the river but thats it. The street in behind PGH hospital (Pegley Crt) dissapeered completely, and Thames Grove Conservation Park was totally under, water was up to the houses on Grand Ave.
