Does anyone know for sure if the Florence FD is on 800? Everyone else is so I can't imagine they are not. I have a TGID for them 3632 but they are not there. Their UHF freq was 460.575 but not there either. Any information would be appreciated. David

They have 30 talk groups. Have you tried the other 29? Also you can set up a test mode in scanner by running it {open} or for a BC {search}. Lockout all of the other ID's for Police etc. and see what pops up for FD.

Larry, I only saw one TGID for the Florence FD. Can you tell me where I can find the other 29? I recieve all of the other TG's on the Freq's I have programed such as County fire of which there are about 8-10. PD, SD, HP and EMS it's on the Florence FD that I can't get. I'll also try opening up the the band to see what I get. Thanks, David

Footnote - RadioReference is showing Florence Co fire dispatch is listed on 453.325 MHz.

That license expired in April of 2002.

In the 06/19/2005 FCC digest - available on the ScanSC list on Yahoogroups - Florence County has relicensed the frequency to use for maintenance and security at a civic center.

Yes, the answer is that Florence FD has most of their traffic on the Florence TRS. Some of the departments (outside of the city limits) are simulcast on some old freqs, such as W. Florence FD on 46.38, and Windy Hill on 154.31. But those transmissions are simulcast from the TRS.

(Note that this is a separate trunked system from the state's Palmetto 800 TRS. It was also around first.) As far as I know, no Florence city/county stuff is carried on Palmetto 800 (yet).
