yes

it would be things like
frs, gmrs, murs, that are used there.
and the inputs for the county system to just hear what is happening at the airshow, kind of county specific.
the forestry guys show up to put the fire out from the wall of fire
and a couple of old uhf freqs.
wireless mic freqs
i have no gone to the airshow in about 5 years.
i used to work across the street from the airport and was on top of everything.
so, most is old but might be used anyway.
the real thing i want to know is if he has a radio that can use closecall/signalstalker.

Thanks

I am a new member with just a few posts, so I am limited by RRs 'reputation system'.

I have a Whistler 1040, already have airport operations, local fire departments & etc programmed in. I wondered if there are channels that are 'often' or 'traditionally' used in air shows.

You all have given me some good ideas, I thank you.

for harbor-tech

might i suggest going to the saturday show.
it usually has the most to show.
all the good stuff has flown on that day.
and they use runway 33 for the main area.
it is where everything is lined up.
one of the bigger show teams use the word "pole" for it (i think it was the thunderbirds)
the jets are fast enough, they go over the river to turn around.
so on sunday just sit outside and watch from your front yard.
