I was listening to 93.1 WXRT out of Chicago this afternoon around 3 o'clock when suddenly a second station blasted their ident over 'XRT, then vanished. It happened so quick I missed the call. 'XRT is 75 miles south south east of me, so that's the way I had my 4 element Stellar Labs beam pointed. Tuning around I found a jumble over local 88.9 WYMS logging:
88.9 WQCS 1520 CDT Fort Pierce, FL 1156 miles EL97 100 KW 155 deg
Followed by ...
89.3 WRMB 1530 CDT Boynton Beach, FL 1219 miles EL96 100 KW 155 deg
102.7 WMXJ 1547 CDT Pompano Beach, FL 1254 miles EL96 100 KW 156 deg
After that, the opening faded, but it sure was fun while it lasted. The first E's opening I've experienced at this new QTH and new listening post with only indoor antennas. Indoor antennas CAN work!
