I am looking for the best folded dipole as in highest gain. Maybe a single 1/4 or a 5/8 desighn slim jim anything on fm to broadcast

Must be able for 250watts piwer out

With over 2db gain .

Can anyone recomend and send me instructions on how to build one

There is a version of a J-pole that has four or more phased elements with some reasonable gain for the FM broadcast band, do a search on "DIY colinear FM broadcast" or similar.

The antenna starts with the basic J-pole then has a 1/4 wave hairpin loop at the top then another 1/2 wave element and another hairpin, etc. Its made of wire and resembles a four element version of the Cushcraft Ringo Ranger amateur antenna.

Tell us more about the stated requirements about folded dipole, that often are a 300 ohm design. What size of antenna are acceptable, must it be vertical, can it be using a 180 beam directed towards land from the expected transmission ship?

i mean, most folks who suddenly need an antenna to transmit 250watts, specifically in the FM broadcast band, which some folks think requires permission from a higher authority, normally would have a general idea of what antenna they might need first. or have other resources available already lined up.

more power to ya man! and before ya crank it up, do the responsible thing and have the retainer paid in full to the best solicitor you can afford. you'll have a lot more fun knowing that part is already covered.
