FMP24 2.19 does not honor -b-<kHz> parameter "Set initial RF filter bandwidth and ignore hints from DSD+" when utilizing Output audio device. Works as expected with TCP. To reproduce launch FMP24 2.19 then launch DSD+ 2.39, modify bandwidth and and watch it change automatically.

Here are the parameters I use.

FMP24 -rc -a1 -i1 -o3 -P31.0 -f850.1000 -b-12.5
DSDPlus -rc -i2 -O NUL -u3 -v3 -wsl400.2 -wss100.200 -wel0.1 -wcl0.445 -wes400.520 >CC.log

I believe you have to set the bandwidth setting in the FMP configuration file and not in the command line. It should be the first line of configuration document.

Unless I'm missing something the first line of the fmp24.cfg file is the sampling rate.

2.4 ; sampling rate (1.0, 2.0 or 2.4)
1024 ; spectrum window width
64 ; FFT size (16k, 32k, 64k)
15 ; spectrum update rate in Hz
5000 -6250 7500 12500 15000 25000 ; step size table; units = Hz; negate default
. ; DSD+ path
.\USA.csv ; primary frequency list CSV path\filename
.\FMP-FreqList2.csv ; auxiliary frequency list CSV path\filename
miles ; search units (miles or kilometers)
50 ; search distance
42.0000 -85.0000 ; search origin

I'm sorry your correct it's 4th/5th line in the above post. Set the step size to bandwidth you are looking to set it to there.

If you have FMP24 parked on a control channel, I don't see why DSD+ would be sending it any tuning/bandwidth commands, at least not until the control channel rotated or faded out.

Agreed, I don't see why the bandwidth would shift. Regardless it shifts from 12.5 to 9.5 when parked on the control channel. I did verify the same happens whether I have auto center tuning enabled or not. Like I said it only happens when using sound card I/O not TCP I/O. Nor does it happen when set to voice tracking mode.

Not a major issue once the dongle stabilizes. Just wanted to post the unexpected operation.

To clarify, step size refers to the value of the frequency change to the next “channel” which is controlled by -s in FMP24. Bandwidth is how much spectrum space the signal uses and is normally handled by the -b switch, except when trunk following when the -b option is ignored.
