Gday,

Ive recently re-installed Windows so lost all of my old settings now ive got round to getting DSD+ installed again. Using FMP24 i have given the config file a control channel which i know is active and its doing its bit by decoding the TIII system, finding channels etc. However i am noticing it is not automatically decoding the audio so i can hear it, if i use SDR# over FMP24 and manually go to the channels it works just fine decoding, is there a possibility due to this being a RAS that it wont follow correctly?

Ive checked the output devices and ticked synthasize all voice however still no audio. I note the channels are showing white on the channel activity box in DSD+ is there 1) a way i can get the audio to work and it auto follow as i honestly cant remember how i set it up other than the site files. and 2) is there a way i can select a specific thing for example such as a group call.

This network is rather large with over 40 channels found so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

Under the Control menu do you have Voice/Data Call Following enabled? Otherwise it's just going to sit on the control channel.

I do (attached SS) theres so many calls at once though im not sure if its struggling to 'pick' a channel to follow, although on top of that i still cant hear it even when there is one call going. It goes white in the Channel activity box when a calls in progress.

How about a screenshot of everything.

1. FMP24 in action
2. DSDPlus Event Window
3. DSDPlus Channel Activity WIndow

If you can't produce useful information, you can't or won't get useful assistance.

Are your DSDPlus.Networks / DSDPlus.Sites / DSDPlus.Frequencies files set up properly? Are you sure all of the LSN <--> Frequency pairings are correct?

I think this may be the issue is i have not filled in the frequencies, and the database here only covers the USA it seems, ill see if i can dig out on here how to find frequencies get them populated then see if it works from there. The only reason i asked was because of a video i saw where it was producing audio even before he populated the frequencies so was unsure if it would just work out of the box.

Some systems transmit the channels in frequency form that DSDPlus can pull out of the data stream and some don't. Even with the ones that do, you still need to populate the frequencies file with the control channel info. I always edit the Networks, Sites, and Frequencies files right away when I find a new system so that the info goes into the correct location.
You can find channel numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4 or you can find them like 49, 173, 287, 2433. The first is more difficult to match channels with frequencies where the second set indicates a band plan is in use and the frequencies can almost always be calculated.

Unless you are in some other country, which I suspect to the case here. Probably listening on a band we don't even have here in NA. Probably a country where you can't do any search for who is licensed to what frequencies, and if a bandplan was being used it would likely not be some standard bandplan that we are familiar with to help him/her.

Math being pretty much the same everywhere, if it is a band plan, it can be calculated, regardless of the frequency numbers. I would give it a try.
Obviously much easier when you have a couple frequencies and channel numbers.
