What's up with the database ?

It shows
155.72250 158.78750 WQFP599 RM 179.9 PL Police Dispatch (dispatched by San Jose State University Police) FM

Updated in the last 24 hours.

They are currently dispatched by the Sheriff's office on an Apco25 system.

155.700 Santa Clara County Sheriff 2.

Since community colleges are state agencies, did they get a better $$$ deal
for dispatching from San Jose State University ??

Unfortunate, because of inter-operability it's much better that they would stay on
the agency channel that surrounds their properties.

Ed or anybody else that can shed some light ?

This is confirmed the new DeAnza/Foothill DPS frequency as of yesterday.

I monitored a Foothill ID yesterday doing a car stop.

It appears to be simulcast with SJ State University PD's 460mhz system.

They have them patched together. At least on the weekend.

FH/DA PD has contracted with the santa clara county SO for dispatch services... about 2 years ago. This was in response to the SO units filling with FH/DA PD in Cupterino and Los Altos Hills. The campus "security / parking enforcement" still use the analog system.

Until now that has been true. They were on Control 2.

FH/DA PD has moved to it's own VHF repeater, dispatched by San Jose State PD and
simulcast with SJ State PD's UHF system.

Community colleges are state special districts after all. Cheaper to use existing resources
than to contract out.

I believe Parking is still on their old vhf analog at DA/FH, but I will confirm that
today.

I didn't see this frequency come up on the NAPCO list however.

I probably just missed it.

It was on the list for a couple of months. I can't comment because the are a client of mine.

I'm not a frequency coordinator. I just help clients get licenses.
