• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Just a suggestion. Rather than have the feedback forum. It would take so many people that have made so many deals in the past to leave feedbacks for everyone ,why not once you have sold or bought a scanner etc. Leave a feedback if the deal went smoothly or went bad. This I think would save a lot space. Just a thought. Now don,t start bashing me for making this suggestion. Thanks

I think it is a great idea. Makes more sense because you get to see the transaction occur like ebay.

Are there actually that many transactions on RR to warrant such an addition (more work for Lindsay)?

What better feedback than to leave a comment (and make it as short or as long as you like) on the forum/thread in which you purchased the item? We have the best possible feedback already built in via the vBulletin forums (without any silly character limits or reply limits).

I actually would say the opposite: I would like to see eBay have such a feedback forum as we have here at RadioReference.
