While I have never been a proponent of the giant system, this article seems to overreach a bit.

In what ways?

Is it the no-bid contract to DeltaWRX for a fatally flawed RFP?

Is it the utter ignorance of complex public contracting law?

At least Forbes was generous enough to leave out the fact that Raytheon got to look at some of Motorola's confidential bid documents, yet another violation of public contracting law-- this time not so complex.

Oh, one more thing....

What happens in 9-11 years when Public Safety has to give back its T Band allocations?

RICS is a pipe dream. Always was, always will be.

ETA: It is an Op/Ed, for what it's worth.

I think maybe he meant the politicizing of the piece. Which I'm not a fan of either. I'm by no means a cheerleader for the current admin, but these silly witch hunts everybody keeps going on year after year, to try and soil the reputation of whomever they hate at the current moment, is just stupid. It also tends to discredit any legitimate points people have, because the other side can just claim they've just got an axe to grind. So in the end, the actual issue is lost in the noise. I doubt Obama even knows what the heck LA-RICS is.
