This console is in my 1999 Ford F-250.. It houses the following:

Kenwood TK-790(H) 250 Channel, VHF, 110 Watt radio.

Kenwood TK-890(H), 160 Channel, UHF, 110 Watt Radio.

Bendix King EMH5990A, 210 Channel, VHF, 50 Watt Radio.

Unitrol Touchmaster TM-4 Lighting and Siren Controller.

Motorola Spectra, 800MHz Smartnet Trunking Radio (Below Touchmaster out of picture.

I use this equipment for Fire Captain position in Arizona. The console is made by Troy Consoles. Sorry about the dust. To busy to keep it clean lately!

Chris

...

if you need more room in the console you may want to consider the dual band kit on a single head kit for your Kenwood Radios

Too much dust!!

If my wife saw something with that much dust, she would throw it away and not tell me.

The TK-790 is a remote mount with the radio mounted behind the seat. I respond to incidents that require me to listen to the UHF while transnmiting on the VHF. I have looked into the dual head kit but I don't think it wil suit my needs.

The current dust level isnt that bad, you should have seen it after two weeks chasing lightning fires in AZ - The console was probably just as bad as the undercarage of the truck!

Can you mount a Tk-790H this way without the remote mount?

This would be in a rack mount, so you just use the standard tk-790 faceplate?
