Forestdale Fire

I have a Pro-163, and all I want to do is listen to Forestdale Fire in Jefferson County on it. I need assistance.

Forestdale fire is dispatched on the AIRS digital network. Unfortunately, the Pro-163 is an analog only scanner so you would have to purchase another scanner that is capable of decoding digital to be able to listen. There are some Radioshack models that can decode digital including the Pro-2096, Pro-197, and Pro-652.

Forestdale Fire Dept is dispatched by Jefferson County 911.
A few FD’s still have their old VHF and if Forestdale does, it may be patched over to that. But only if Forestdale former VHF is still on line.

Forestdale is not patched the main base radio took a power surge and was never replaced when they first went to 800 .
