Please provide a lot more detail, with things like:
What model scanner?
What exact error message?
What steps did you follow immediately prior to seeing the error message?
What is your overall goal (i.e. what are you really trying to achieve: entering a specific trunked radio system, etc.)?
What "disk" are you referencing? (Most scanners don't have a "disk". Some of the newer ones have a flash-card on which RadioReference frequencies are stored.)
