Former President Obama Expected at UNC/Duke Game

According to ESPN analyst Jay Williams, former President Barack Obama is expected to attend the UNC/Duke game in Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham on Wednesday night, Feb 20th, 2019. Various news media are reporting the plan for the 44th president of the United States to be in attendance for Wednesday's big rivalry game.

While most USSS comms are now encrypted look for state/local/college frequencies to be active.

Being in Raleigh, I was not able to hear the motorcade which was on Viper Alpha 1, I was able to hear RDU LE 2 (on Wake Trunked System) that was handling arrival/departure security at the GA terminal. Didn't hear any USSS traffic (clear or encrypted).

Most interesting comm (other than wheels down ETA) was RDU LE handing off escort of USSS agent to another officer, so he could go to ther bathroom. Hahaha guess he forgot to go before detail started.

I was in another state years ago for a VIP visit, and was amazed by how fast the motorcade travels. Obviously local law enforcement clears the route, but even with that in consideration, the speed they travel is crazy!

I must confess that I'm actually supprised that a State Event TG being used in Durham, wasn't affiliated with anything (between the state eoc and SHP comm center) in the Raleigh area.
