If you don't have 851.1 programmed in your scanner, you won't hear Forsyth. It is their reband CC.

OK, I'm trying to add this to my Pro-106. Have been receiving Forsyth P25 system for some time, until a few days ago when it went silent. I've now added 851.10 as a control channel to the TSYS object for Forsyth P25. Still receiving nothing. Is there something else I'm missing?

Thanks everyone.

Got it working. Using Arc-500 I removed the TSYS and all talkgroups for Forsyth P25, then re-loaded from RadioReference and manually added the new control channel in Arc-500. Worked immediately after loading to scanner.

Don't know why it didn't work when I added control channel directly on the radio, or why my first efforts with computer download didn't work.

Anyway, it's back on now. Thanks for the link, Highpockets.

All I did with Win500 was to open the TSYS and clicked on system frequencies. Added the new CC and it was up and running. Had already added it to my 96 and couldn't figure out why the 106 was deaf there;))

Yeah, should have worked on mine. I probably did something wrong <grin>.

Thanks for posting the new control channel, by the way. How did you find out about it?

Sources in Forsyth:)) It is also listed (not as a CC) in the Forsyth database as a frequency. It was suggested that it should go into my radios. That they would be switching some time this month. And, they did. I'm going to run Pro96com to get all the frequencies tonight.

Has Forsyth made further changes? I'm silent on all Forsyth P25 system again.

I've tried clearing everything out and re-loading from RadioReference database using ARC-500 with no luck.

Richard, 851.6500 is now the CC. According to Pro96com the rebanding is complete. The frequencies that were 15Mhz higher, are no longer showing on the screen. Make sure that you have the new control channel in. 851.1, 852.6625, 852.8625 are now the alternate CC's. I had these programmed in and didn't miss anything. I have reported the changes to the database.

You're the man, Larry. 851.650 fixed it. The RR database still has 851.100 primary, 851.600 (wrong) as an alternate.

Wish me luck, taking the General test this Saturday.

Good luck on the test. I was grandfathered in as a General class licensee back a few years ago when you only needed to prove that you had 5wpm code and taken the Tech/General test before 1987. Would have walked out a General if I had been brave enough to take the code that day in 1986. ( I was copying 90% of the 20wpm in my head.)
