I am looking for information on frequencies and systems in use at Fort Campbell, KY. I travel to that area several times a year but so far have not heard much on this system.
Type: UHF Motorola ASTRO Smartzone
Site 1:
407.3
407.95
408.35
408.55
408.75
408.95
409.55

Site 2:
406.35
406.75
409.95

I was curious if anyone closer to the site can tell me more or shed more light on this system and how to program it into my Pro-96.

You can contact me via PM or through e-mail at kd4bas@bellsouth.net

Thanks in advance

I got the 101st to trunk for about a night. Made a change and have not been able to trunk them since. This is my last good config as I remember it. Apparently, the offset channel is the X factor here.

Base Frequency: 406.0
Offset: ???
Step Size Khz: auto

RE: Other freqs.
165.1875 medical paging / non trunked.
407.25 trunked

Confirmed TG's
1808 MP's
1840 MP's

Let us know of your progress.
Good luck.

Both sites appear to share the same base frequency and step size:

406.0000
25 kHz

Try the standard offset of 380 first, if that doesn't work then its trial and error time.

Ft. Campbell Info

Please e-mail me at anthonyjpowell@gmail.com for system information. Let me know what you need. I was there for a year and a half and made a friend with one of the radio shop guys. I will only give out certain information due to the security issue though.

So, I'm trunking Ft. Campbell and I notice...

...only three hot freqs of the published ones I'm aware of.
  • 406.35
  • 406.75
  • 406.25

TG 5040 (wide area med com).
I heard a hospital in Memphis advise that all trauma patients be diverted to Little Rock due to a power outage. This TG stays locked on 407.25 and can be monitored without trunking.
TG 1808 MP primary
TG 1840 MP
TG 2992 Fire
TG 2000 ?
TG 272 ?
TG 816 ?

Also have a fist full of range control TG's and a base maintenance group. Nothing really sexy enough to post.

If you have it...post it.

The RR community is one in which we pool our collective knowledge and experiences to make this a more fulfilling, rewarding and exciting hobby for everyone.

If you have data that you feel is sensitive then do not post it. No one wants you to compromise military safety and security. If your friend in the radio shop is giving you sensitive information that you will not give out, both of you may find yourselves on the wrong side of a court martial. Him/Her for giving that info out and you for being in possession of it.

(Having finished his rant...The speaker steps down from his soap box and exits stage right)
