Hey Jim,

And actually anyone else who posts pics here on RR... Could you *please* resize them down to something around 800 X 600 or so!? I't makes attempting to read anything that comes before and after *really* hard 'cause then you've got to keep scrolling back and forth across the page! (And *don't* claim that it's because I'm using old software or hardware! It doesn't matter *which* computer I'm on. Even with tri-focals ground just for computing 1024 x 768 is all that these tired old eyes can handle on this 19" monitor and it gets *very* frustrating to not be able to make it all the way through a thread because one has to keep scrolling back and forth to try and read. Yeah, going for whatever the max is for one's camera is fun but even with so-called unlimited storage and all the other BS they feed us it's rediculous because no matter what format you attempt to display it, unless you can actually print out 3' X 4.5' posters, you aren't going to get anything more detail-wise than you would at the `middling' resolutions. [Maybe you *might* see something more *if* you've got $10K - $30K worth of basic `body' and another $200K - $800+ worth of `glass' to work with. But even then the added `extra' isn't very much. I know because I've got stuff from `spy camera', AKA MINOX, all the way up to `large Format' I've collected over the years and have sold my share of `stringer' stuff up through `Artsy' `boutique' stuff.])

I haven't complained before because I thought that maybe someone else might do so instead or some `moderator' *might* mention it. Please have pity on all the `Olde Fart's' here.

Just *1* `Olde Fart's' 2¢ worth. {WAN GRIN!}

I hate to agree with yours, or any complaint, because this is a great website, BUT it would be great if we all could get in the habit of posting smaller pictures.

I like the large pictures because you can zoom in and see the detail.

I agree with Steve that the big pictures that Jim posts are in incredible resolution and very easy to see the whole picture. I also agree with those who complain about it making it harder to read the following posts. Maybe there is a way that Lindsay can modify the page so that it doesn't spread out the text on the following posts? Or some other way to handle those pictures?

A thumbnail would be great. I hope Jim is not taking the complaint the wrong way. He is by far the greatest attribute to the Colorado forum!

Another option would be to host the pictures somewhere else and just provide a link to them. That way, you get both the high resolution pictures and a forum you can read without scrolling sideways. Photobucket.com is one site I've found that provides this service and it's free, although they may limit the volume of pics you can store.
