Larimer County Sheriff's Office, Poudre Fire Authority and Fort Collins Police Services responded to a report of a downed aircraft and resulting fire at 2415 Donella Court near the intersection of Timberline and Mulberry in North Fort Collins at 3:00 P.M. on April 3, 2005. Poudre Fire Authority responded within 30 seconds to extinguish the blaze at Poudre Valley Air and that of the aircraft.

At this time, it is believed one occupant of the airplane died in the accident. The plane was reported to be a twin engine Baron that had left from the downtown Fort Collins airport.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The name of the deceased will be released by the Larimer County Coroner's Office on Monday, April 4, 2005.

Larimer County Sheriff's Office and Poudre Fire Authority will be on scene throughout the night.

No further information will be released from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office or Poudre Fire Authority about this incident.
