Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood ?

Hi all, just trying to reach out to any local hams.

I only have 2m and 70cm from an HT with an outdoor antenna set up about 18 feet.


I don't know how far I can tx so I would like to make some contacts and help me tune this up as best as I can.

The big 3 repeaters there are Broward 146.91, Gold Coast 146.61, & Motorola 146.79. Plenty of people to talk to on those.

Thanks for the reply, I will look up those repeaters to find the PL tones and offset settings.

I was able to make it to the Palmetto Amateur Radio Club repeater on 70cm and made a contact today.

That repeater seems to work quite well considering the low power from my Baofeng HT.
