Did some searching and haven't really found any info for fort Mac. Other then the RCMP is fire/ems able to be scanned out here. I'm in a camp close to anzac but haven't been able to spend much time searching.

Well, since I don`t go to Ft. Mac, I really can`t say. Firenet will get busy as the snow leaves and it dries up up their. He is a link to some of the hits I get when searching this forum for Fort Mac. Some of these threads are old and a lot of the companies have gone digital. Someone in that area might have more info. that could be shared or have the RR database updated. Here is the search: The RadioReference.com Forums - Search Results

Ya punched those in but haven't heard anything in 5 days so I'm guess those are old ones. Well thanks for the help.

FireNet is only for forestry firefighting, fish & wildlife, conservation officers (park rangers) and the like. Fire and EMS aren't in the RadioReference database because they haven't been confirmed by anyone yet.

I just did a quick Geographic Search on Spectrum Direct for 50km around Fort McMurray and got around 1700 frequencies between 138 and 956 MHz. Give me a bit to look at the data and I'll post something.

Off the top of my head there are a metric buttload of trunked radio systems that are as-yet-undiscovered up there. One or two of them have switched to TRBO, but at least one is P25 and partially listed in the DB.

Be back in a bit, hopefully with some fodder for you to check out.

Some old records of mine show that the main fire / ambulance frequency was 169.92 which still appears to be licensed to the region. However it may just be a paging frequency as there is it is licensed as a simplex channel only.

The regional municipality has quite a few licensed frequencies. Here is a list;

Tabular Results > TAFL Search with Google Maps Output

My bet is that there are a few Fire / Ambulance frequencies in there but some may also be used for public works, SCADA, pumping station telemetry, etc.

Cheers,

169.92 is listed as "Aircraft" in the virtual license.

I did find some fire related frequencies in the municipal licenses. I don't know if the FD does EMS; there're no licenses for Alberta Health Services nor any private companies. One place has 158.760 licensed "for ambulance communicaitons".

453.175 - Fort MacKay Fire Pagers
453.4375 - Saprae Creek Fire Pagers
453.0875 - Anzac Fire Pagers

460.0375
460.6375
460.9125
461.1625
461.6125
462.2875
469.0125

453.3125
451.025
451.9125
451.2125
451.15
454.125
462.9125

The first batch of frequencies above appear to be a "voting repeater" system of some sort for municipal operations in the town of Fort McMurray itself. One of the voting sites is on Fort McMurray Fire Station #2. The second batch of frequencies are on various sites in the region and are non-specific about what they are used for ("Licensee's stations licensee's mobiles").

I need to correct myself - Northern Lights Health Authority has two frequencies. They might be ambulance or might just be YMM Hospital.

461.8125
457.0875 - Pagers

The 461 frequency has an emission designation of 7k60F7E which is usually indicative of MotoTRBO or similar DMR (non-P25 digital) modulation.

ATCO Electric is the utility provider and has a bunch of analog repeaters as well as what should be some P25 sites. If you can help pin them down, that'd be awesome.

Analog:
140.4 Pagers/Simplex
138.735 Fort McMurray
138.975 Fort McMurray
138.885 Ruth Lake
138.855 Stoney Mountain
138.975 Algar
138.705 Muskeg
138.825 Dunkirk River

Possible P25:
138.915 Fort McMurray
138.78 Ruth Lake
139.08 Stoney Mountain
139.2 Algar
138.96 Muskeg
138.54 Dunkirk River

ATCO Gas has some analog repeaters.

159.645 Anzac
153.59 Dover
152.045 Fort McMurray

There's an AFRRCS site at Algar - may or may not be active yet.

771.90625
772.75625
773.29375
774.08125

Fort McMurray Search & Rescue has a transportable repeater.

162.18

As I said earlier, there are a ton of trunking systems in the area.
First off, the one that is already in the RRDB as a P25 system may not be P25 - the emissions designator in the Spectrum Direct license implies that it's NXDN/Nexedge.

Fluor Kearl Lake:
410.0875
410.2375
410.3625
410.675
410.85

422.5875
422.7
424.2625
424.3625
424.475
424.7

Canadian Natural Resources has several systems. First, the one that has been in the database forever. Probably a Motorola system, but you can't tell just from what's in Spectrum Direct.

CNRL Horizon 1:
853.3125
853.5625
853.8125

858.0625
858.3125
858.5625
858.8125
859.0625

Now they have a pair of licenses which have TRBO emissions designators (which DO show up in Spectrum Direct):

CNRL Horizon 1:
935.125
935.375
935.625
935.875

Imperial Oil has three separate systems at their Kearl Lake site which have emissions designation 9k80D7W, which is indicative of P25 Phase II according to the RR wiki:

Klemke Mining might have a small TRBO system at Suncor:
148.24
148.675
148.945

Total Energy has a TRBO/DMR system, but I'm not sure what its status would be since someone (Suncor?) bought out Total's share in the oilsands last month:

Joslyn North Mine:

Tridon Communications has two wide-area systems explicitly stated in their licenses as NXDN and TRBO respectively:

Again, if you (or anyone else) can figure any of these out and submit them to the DB, it'll make things that much easier for the next guy who wanders into Newfoundland's 2nd largest city. ;)

I wish I could remember my RID ?? 226**** or 224**** ? I remember we would use LADD 3 up to KM 59 on the telephone lake road and then we went DIGITAL (same radio;;;; Press P3 Toggle L or R to Telephone lake/Steepbank then then ENTER ) , I remember I had a Motorola Radio but for the life of me cannot remember the model;

I haven't been able to find anything in the 700mhz as of yet but will keep searching. Our camp is about 25 kms south of Anzac on 881 and I haven't been able to receive anything other then those two nexen sites and the rcmp on a4 I think.

None of AFRRCS is supposed to be live at this point. I think the "Alberta Provincial Health system" referred to was meant to be the provincial ambulance frequency (158.760).
