I'm driving from Ohio and am just curious if anyone knows if scanners are legal in IN, specifically at the airshow and if anyone knows the airboss frequency, thanks!

Here's the quick and easy, since you'll probably get 20 replies saying the same thing or bickering about specifics: without an amateur radio license, scanners are legal in your home or place of regular business with a handful of exceptions for the media and other special cases. With an amateur radio license, you pretty much have free reign.

Ind. Code § 35-44-3-12 : Indiana Code - Section 35-44-3-12: Unlawful use of a police radio; exemptions; "police radio" defined

Side note for fellow Hoosiers: Could in.gov's Indiana Code lookup be more messed up!?!? Text search results get rendered in HTML markup and the IC search won't even pull up known, valid ICs. Man that's frustrating.

Since you live in Ohio, I'm surprised you're not going to the Cleveland National Airshow this weekend. It's going to be much bigger and better than Ft. Wayne's (unless you're going to both).

Cleveland's lakefront Airshow is amazing with the airshow up above, Lake Eerie in front of you, and the skyscrapers of downtown Cleveland behind you.

Oh yeah I'm definitely hitting up both, I never miss Cleveland! Isaac is really screwing with my plans though, as of now I will probably go to Cleveland on Saturday and Fort Wayne on Sunday. I will go to Cleveland tomorrow as well just like every year for the arrival day and practices.

Parking (On-Site ONLY)
Parking in NOT available in advance. On-site parking is $15 at the gate - only the lot operated by the Air Show. NO RV PARKING.
My English is very goodly no!

If you have $36 bucks to blow on an airshow go for it. $21 General addmission, & $15 for parking. What a deal. The F-22 is Monday only.
