For nd5y and others.

Attached is a crappy cell phone picture of the new Fire Station 27. Only Engine 27 there now, but plenty of room for more equipment in the future.

I don't know what Hurst is doing with the station that 27 used to be at.

Engine 27 no longer responds into Hurst since they moved to their new station. The old Engine 27 station (Hurst original station) is currently being remodeled to station their own engine company. It may even be completed by now, do not know. For now until it is done they will have Euless respond to the southeast area when needed per Hurst request, but not automatically like Engine 27 did in the past.

For those in the area, the Station 27 open house is September 11.

Here are a couple pics from today.

I think the brush truck is new. Can anyone provide some info on that?

When they were in Hurst there was no brush truck. The old station only had 1 bay. Looks like they got a new engine too.

They have had that engine for at least a couple of years that I have been here. I've not seen the old one that is in the pictures on the FWFD website, so I don't know when it was replaced.

I wonder where the brush truck came from, it is definitely not new, just new to 27.

Nice work! I wish I had remember, and could have made it there. Lots of variety. Did you scan for the robot frequencies? :)

I didn't have a scanner on me. I had one in the car but I didn't do any searching.

Both of the robots appeared to be operated via cords so I don't think it would have mattered anyway. You can see the spiral cords in both pictures.

They also had a ceremony for 9/11 and also for the retired (I think) Lieutenant that died recently. My pictures of those were from way in the back and look pretty crappy so I didn't post them.
