Ok, when dispatch goes out they say something along the lines..."Quint 27, respond channel 4, vehicle fire @ and the location"

Ok my question is, once they respond to the accident what not...do they communicate on those channels? If so did they change since this database was updated for FW? I have all of the FW Fire's IDs in my scanner and can hear dispatch perfect but not any talking on any other ID's.

Also when the truck is back in service, I can hear it on the dispatchers channel.

Nothing has changed for channels 1-6

About a year ago they shuffled the command channels around - the names have changed, the talk group id's have not. I think the RRDB has the current info.

Do they even talk that much on channels 1-6? I dont know if I have ever heard it. If so, I will go back and double check or even reprogram it.

Just to add to what Ed said, he knows his FWFD info, they do talk on the response channels. Channel 2 is the primary fireground channel and can be interesting during a fire. Channel 4 is the primary ems channel and is quite busy. You might double check your programming.

If I remember correctly, I know I heard the communications during the blaze at the Chemical plant on 33rd, I live bout 1 minute away. I cannot recall what channel though. All I ever hear is dispatch and that is it. I will def double check all of my programming and see what I am missing...will keep you guys updated. Thanks a bunch

Ok, I checked out the ID's I had. I have no idea where I got them from (I get em all from here) but they were all wrong. I do appreciate it guys, I should be set!
