Hi Heidi,
Actually Fortis does exchange quite a bit of their communications via radio.
Over the past few years Fortis has built an extensive NXDN digital trunked radio system throughout the province. I have personally verified and logged many of their repeater sites throughout the southern half of the province. See here;

From looking through the TAFL, it looks like Fortis most likely has a two-channel trunked NXDN trunked site on Mt. Baker.
Not sure if you have a SDR or a scanner capable of receiving NXDN digital, but you will most likely need that capability in order to receive their radio comms.
Take care,
