Anybody interested in a bit of creative writing?

Though maybe it would be cool to let forum members let their imagination run riot and be part of creating characters and a story by adding a sentence or two,or paragraph.

My grammar isn't the best so i will be the last person to judge.

Jackson woke up and looked at the digital clock at the side of his bed.The screen said 10.00 am which made jackson lurch out of bed and then his head began to pound. It pounded like a herd of bison were running across the top of his skull and that's when he realised it was Saturday. No work today for jackson just a hangover of stupendous proportions and a taste in his mouth like he had been sucking his gym socks after they'd been kept unwashed in the laundry basket for a week.Jackson slid out of bed and made his way to the kitchen for a cup of wake up.The coffee smelt good and jackson slowly made his way into his second favourite part of the house, his den.He placed the cup on the table next to his leather lazy boy chair and slumped into it while reviewing the state of his hangover. Not to bad after a few good swigs of the coffee jackson thought so he decided to flick the switch on his police scanner.............

when Jackson overheard on police dispatch the house across the street was being raided by the Feds for producing methamphetamine. He raced to the window faster than greased lightning and saw before his eyes two homely looking gentlemen with hands behind their backs and being escorted to the police car. All of a sudden a giant explosion that only Michael Bay could fabricate with law enforcement running and ducking out behind their police cars. In a split second the house was nothing more. Suddenly the fire department came and were dousing the fire, with the media personalities behind the yellow tape and Sky9 in the air above. For Jackson, this truly was a most epic and exciting morning....

Jackson stared at the scene unfolding in front of him,his mind was racing, trying to make sense of what had just happened on his quite suburban street.Jackson watched in disbelief as four midgets dressed in clown outfits jumped over the rear wall of his neighbours smouldering house and disappear out of site. What the hell, was he still drunk Jackson thought, was it the painkillers.Jackson stared across at the scene across the street and that's when he saw the single oversized shoe in the yard across from him,it was a clowns shoe allright....

At this point Jackson knew he had to notify the police at what he saw. "Sir, oh sir" Jackson said to the detective on scene. "What do you want, I'm busy." Said the detective. "I saw four midgets dressed in clown outfits and here I found this clown shoe." With a puff of his cigar the detective said, "well how be" said the detective. "It's all coming together now." "It seems that the four midget clowns are part of a diabolical group from the circus peanut candy manufacturer. But for what purpose I can't ascertain." "And that over sized clown shoe? Hmmmm" Taking another puff from his cigar and squinting at the over sized clown shoe, "I think what we have here is a set up to make it look like Ronald McDonald himself was the mastermind to all of this."

The detective Pete Zebrowski was a hard nose cop who'd been a cop since he left high school and had 30 years of cleaning up societies problems which had made the detective bad tempered and lacking in patience.Zebrowski had heard the urban legend of the double M's,the midget mafia but had never actually had an eye witness to confirm the legends of this highly dangerous group.Holding the shoe in his hand Zebrowski turned it over and studied the design closely. There was a makers mark and an address stamped into the edge of the tread. It read R Soles 104 greenbank road. The detective laughed at the makers name and thought, yeah those clowns really were R soles.Zebrowski climbed into his police cruiser and flicked the cigar onto the road and shut the car door....

Walking back into the precinct, detective Pete Zebrowski tossed the oversized shoe to the crime scene investigator. "Check this out", said detective Zebrowski. "Found it in the lawn of the meth house. It has R Soles, 104 Greenbank Road written on it. What do you make of it?" Crime scene investigator Special Agent William Harris looked it over. "I don't know. Looks mighty big for your average Joe." "And get this!" Detective Zebrowski shouted. "A witness that lives across the street claims to have seen four midgets dressed in clown outfits jumping a wall at the time the meth house exploded. Now I think the shoe was a plant to make it look like Ronald McDonald himself was behind all this." "Well, lets dust it for prints and see what we come up with." Special Agent Harris replied. "Let me know what you come up with." Said detective Zebrowski. "I'm going to interview the two suspects that were arrested."

Across town Diane Steel was easing down on the accelerator of the turbo diesel cash in transit van ready to deliver her last drop before her shift ended.Diane was happy with her job,and as one of the only two female guards at Holts cash delivery service it gave her an immense feeling of satisfaction.Diane pulled on to the gas station forecourt and surveyed the area for any unusual behaviour, anything out of place that might jeopardise her delivery. The place was spotless with no vehicles using any of the pumps, the only thing on the forecourt was two children on tricycles dressed in superhero costumes riding round in circles close to the door of the gas station. They reminded Diane of her own two children who would currently be with there Grandmother most likely being spoilt but happy.Diane pulled up close to the ATM machine which was attached to the gas station and climbed in the back of the van to get her cash boxes. The ATM was nearly empty so needed filling up with $2000.000 which was partly boxed and ready to go.Diane had one last look through the van's security window and then stepped on to the forecourt with two cash boxes. As Diane walked towards the heavy steel door at the side of the ATM a voice yelled "freeze b*tch, drop the boxes and lie on the ground."Diane couldn't understand what was happening, she had surveyed the area and all she had seen was to kids on tricycles dressed as batman and spiderman so she turned to face the voice. It took Diane a second to lower her vision from straight a head to looking downwards where she saw the two what she thought were children dressed in superhero costumes holding AR-15's menacingly at her chest....

Looking a second time, Diane noticed that what she thought were children were in fact midgets. The midgets nabbed the cash boxes and peddled off like no one's business laughing the whole time like druken leprechauns who inhaled helium gas. Shaking in disbelief she called the police to tell them she was just robbed. About 4 minutes pass and two police officers arrive. "Can you describe the perpetrators, ma'am?" Said one officer. Diane responded, "they looked like kids but were midgets both wearing super hero costumes." The other officer asked, "and what direction did you see them go?" "Right over there through the parking lot and past the McDonalds." "Okay, ma'am. We'll have a look around. Here's the case number and a detective will be in contact with you."

The next day Diane gets a call from detective Zebrowski. "So you said you saw what appeared to be two kids dressed as super heroes on trikes, but now you know them to be what were in fact midgets? "Yes." Diane responded. "And where did you see them bike off to?" "Over past the McDonalds." Diane responded. "Okay, ma'am. I'll look into this further and stay in touch." At this point detective Zebrowski knew he was definitely onto something big here seen as how midgets were seen fleeing the scene of a meth house explosion and now midgets involved in a mugging. Then detective Zebrowski had an epiphany. "Oversized clown shoe. Heading off in the direction of McDonalds? Very peculiar...."

At detective Zebrowski's desk, Zebrowski called Special Agent Harris about the oversized clown shoe forensic evidence. "Hey, William, do you have a report yet on that oversized clown shoe?" "I just wrapped up on it now." Said Special Agent Harris. "Using the mass spectrometer I was able to determine mustard was found on the bottom of the shoe. Now we just need to ascertain out who makes the mustard and where it's sold or used. The finger print gave us no matches in the database however." "Great! Be sure to get back to me ASAP on the mustard results." Said detective Zebrowski.

Meanwhile across town, Linda Parkins was at her own desk on the tenth floor high rise of 1 Cheery Street, also known as the Global Today Newspaper writing a story about the meth house explosion. "On Wednesday morning, an eyewitness simply known as "Jackson", was monitoring police communications on his handheld scanner when he saw and overheard the house across the street raided by law enforcement and suddenly blow up..." Mrs. Parkins began to type. A knock was heard on the glass of Parkins' door. "Come in" said Mrs. Parkins. It was the editor Gary Shuman. "Hey Linda. We just got word on the police scanner that there was a mugging on down, oh what was it again? Oh! Tenth street near the McDonalds and an ATM involving two midgets dressed in super hero costumes. Weren't there midgets involved in that meth house explosion yesterday?" "Yes! There were midgets involved at that meth house explosion!" Mrs. Parkins said in a very interested voice. "Do you have more information?" "No, but you may want to check it out. I hear it's ol' detective Zebrowski who's working on the case." "Oh him? Mrs. Parkins said in a contempt voice. As it turns out. Some ten years ago, Mrs. Parkins and Zebrowski had a tiff about a story she ran involving a car thief...

It was 5 PM and the rain still didn't let up when Linda Parkins clocked out from work and hailed a cab back home to her two bedroom apartment where just across the street was an old time diner where from her apartment could see the patrons eat and go to and fro. Entering her apartment she hung her umbrella and kicked off her shoes to enter the kitchen where she fixed herself a cup of Earl Grey tea. She was really interested in what that mugging was all about down on tenth street seen as how it also involved midgets just like the meth house explosion. So she sat in front of her computer with tea and brought up broadcastify.com since she already had an account and could hear archival radio traffic. "Unit 22, 300. We have a report of a robbery near the McDonalds on tenth street. Reporting person describes two midgets dressed in costumes fleeing the scene on trikes." Unit 22, en route." Came across the archival radio stream. As Mrs. Parkins listened she heard another call. "Unit 15, 300. Respond to a 211 in progress at the First Financial building on Palm street. Suspects described are midgets dressed as clowns." She couldn't believe her ears. "More flipping midgets!" She yelled in disbelief. She knew that there was a real midget crime problem in the city and it was going to be a story worth a Pulitzer if she could pull it off....

It was 7 AM with a fog in the air when detective Zebrowski came into the precinct the next day. Looking over the interviews of the two perps arrested at the meth house explosion he noted one suspect cited that there was a presence of midget clowns in their backyard on one of their surveillance cameras. Detective Zebrowski picked up the phone and dialed Special Agent William Harris down stairs. "This is Special Agent Harris." Hey William, one of the suspects here indicates that they saw on their cameras what appeared to be midgets dressed in clown outfits in their backyard. I'm curios, would that fingerprint on the oversized clown shoe perhaps match that of a midget by chance?" Special Agent Harris replied, "it's certainly possible. The print isn't that large at all, really." "Interesting" Replied detective Zebrowski. Okay, keep up the good work.

Linda Parkins was at her desk investigating the two incidents involving midgets she overheard on the archival police dispatch radio chatter. She phoned the records department of the Wellington Police Department to obtain any police reports. "Yes, this is Linda Parkins of the Global Today Newspaper calling about any police reports with the robbery of the First Financial building the other day." A bunch fast typing could be heard on a keyboard though the phone. "Yes, we have several police reports on that robbery. What is your fax number?" "Fax number is 555-6789." "Okay, I'll send them now." the records clerk said.

About five minutes pass when Mrs. Parkins receives the first of many police reports. As she over read one police report she noted that a Larry Cutting noted the midgets dressed in clown outfits had bags that read, "Acme peanut candy ." In another report a Sarah Wilcox noted that the midgets left behind an oversized clown shoe. In a police report from Sergeant Adam Hall he noted that only one of the three midgets were captured that day. She called over the Wellington Police depart again. "Hi, this is Linda Parkins of the Global Today Newspaper. Have you released the name of the suspect caught at the First Financial building robbery?" No, ma'am, we have not relesed the suspect's name at this time pending investigation." "Okay, thanks." As soon as Linda Parkins hung up the phone a fax began to come through of what looked like a clown face with a caption that read, "Do we amuse you?" For Linda, this was a most terrifying thing to observe given the circumstances....

On a side note.

This story could be an allegory.

The midgets being average people or small business men and Ronald McDonald, the banks, drug producers being large multinationals.

As day turned to night, Mrs. Parkins could see a full moon glow over the city of Wellington from her tenth story office of the Global Today newspaper. She was pacing the floor all on about that strange fax she received. Suddenly the phone rang. "This is Mrs Parkins." In a stealthy-like male voice.. "I have information on the midget problem." Meet me on the 8th street bridge at 11." "Who is this?" Said Mrs. Parkins. "A friend." Said the caller "And how do I find you?" "I'll find you." Suddenly a click and the phone was disconnected. At this point Mrs. Parkins wasn't sure what to do. But the reporter's curiosity that she possessed beckoned her to meet this person. She phoned a friend who was also a reporter of the Global Today newspaper. "Hey Mark, can you come to my office? I have to talk to you about something." "Sure, I'll be right there" A knock was heard on the door at it was Mark. "What's the problem?" Mark said in a confused voice. "I'm doing a story on that midget problem and I got this fax. On top of that a guy wants to meet me on the 8th street bridge at 11 with information. Do you think you can tag along with me while I meet this person? "Sure." Mark replied.

As the 11th hour drew near Mrs. Parkins and Mark hailed a cab and went to the 8th street bridge. "Can you sit here for a moment, I won't be long" Said Mrs. Parkins to the cab driver. "What do you think I am here!" The cab driver replied in a pissed off voice. "I'll pay you an extra $100." Mrs. Parkins told the cab driver. "Not a problem, ma'am", said the cab driver. Standing there waiting on the bridge they both wondered when this so-called deep throat would show up. As one person after another passed they just weren't too sure. Then out of the blue a jogger came up to Mrs. Parkins and shoved a large envelope into Mrs. Parkins' arms and like that the jogger jogged off. Both Mark and Mrs. Parkins looked at each other like whoooa. They rushed on over back to the cab and went back to the Global Today newspaper...
