Hi all scanner listeners in the libby area

Was doing a close call search and it picked up 155.3600 Mhz. Some lady talking to someone. Had to be fairly close by for an close call hit but that depends on the radio power she was using. Will have to monitor that one to find out who it is. Checked the FCC site and no records for that frequency for montana. Hmmm.

155.3600 is not valid.
Try
155.3550 or 155.3700 or the new 155.3625

Close Call can be a bit deceptive as it sometimes stops not exactly on the
correct frequency, but one step up or down. Some people go on to submit
wrong info to the RR DB.

Not sure but I think the FCC search can allow a frequency range. If you
do this around the frequency in question, all sorts of interesting things
can pop up. Don't make the range too large. The Canada (IC) TAFL search
allows this.

Interesting side point, I believe some areas of the U.S. actually use 12.5kHz
step in this part of the band (Alaska comes to mind)(**); and presumably the
sub-step 6.25kHz, instead of 15.0/7.5kHz.

Hi ecps92

Did some searching on the FCC site again and did find one frequency; 155.3550; Flathead Sheriff - WNAE463 that is mobile; Flathead County & fixed (Repeater ?) on Big Mountain, Whitefish. Maybe someone was passing through libby and I just happened to pick up the mobile transmission on close call.
Also Flathead uses that frequency for 911 dispatch; WQMR514, one of the 911 frequencies. Found this website: monitoringtimes.com/html/mtema.html I knew about this site, have used it in the past quite often.
Emergency Medical Allocations 155.3550 & 155.3625 are in it. Will be checking these frequencies.
