marsh:
i haven't listened to the call boxes, although i have banged the buttons accidentally a few times.... other things you can listen for in the eastern area is the plethora of tx from the police academy on campus..... they have a few talkgroups on the madison county trunked system and at least one duplex vhf freq.... the big hint you should listen for is "model city dispatch" or other statements including model city....

Model City Dispatch

WOW !!! that brings back several memories.
I was a Model City dispatcher several times over the years
I was a dispatcher for a small town in Western Kentucky.
We had to go to EKU for the DOCJT Telecommunications training.

The 155.640 callbox was active earlier tonight with a PL of179.9. It sounded like an alarm went off then I heard 3 dtmf tones. After the tones someone came on and said this is campus security, if you need help push the button to talk and release it to listen. Noone answered and after a few seconds I heard 3 more dtmf tones. So, it sounds like the system is active.

try the fcc search looking for freqs that are mobile only with very few units, usually there will be two or three freqs asigned to the call boxes... i will look later and see if i find any that might be possibles...

edit:
didn't really see anything that looked promising... try these numbers and see if they have anything on them... unfortunately the only way you can check them is if the facilities folks test the transmitters or if someone presses the buttons....
