• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

My AirPods Pro were pairing and working great with my G5 when I first got them, I had no idea why they quit. They would pair but the volume was very very low. So I deleted them from my G5 then re-paired them, same result, super low volume. I deleted them again but then held down the pairing button and didn't let off the button this time, the AirPods case flashed white then orange flashed a couple times then back to white. This took about 30-45 seconds of holding down the pair button on the AirPods case and not letting up. I let off the button and it was still flashing white and re-paired them with the G5 and the volume is back!
So nice not to have to carry different earbuds just for the G5. I guess they just needed a reset.

The audio from my Air Pod Pro and my G5 is low , however the annoying hiss still persists. I am on FW 1.33 and 3xx PPS.

I have no hiss. Try opening your phone, hold the button down on AirPods until it blinks orange a few times then it should continue to blink white and try to pair the G5 after that. Do it with your phone on and open. My volume came back immediately after re-pairing, you will have to re-pair with your phone before or after that. I have a new G5 and an old one, one with bt4 and the other has bt2. I have noticed I have to go through resetting if I switch pagers, but they do both work. Curious, does it say "Airpods pro-find my" when the name comes up on your pager? I could not get rid of the "find my" until I tried it with my phone on and open. I could change the name but "find my" always came back until I did it with the phone on and open. Someone was saying the "find my" only appears on non apple devices.

I connected my AirPods Pro and it works great. It popped up under "Airpods" when I connected to my G5. No hissing at all as well. The only slight issue that I have was the low volume. I had it tuned up to 50-60 which was ok. There was some delay within the audio processing on bluetooth but however it was normal.
