Just wanted to let those in NE ohio know that monitor this system....

It is referred to as band 3. Whats interesting about it is it is high band. 460.2250 Mhz. Both dispatchers&police units were using this.

Ive never seen it on a freq list or anything.

460.225 is Band 3 for the Kent State University Police, which use radio numbers in the 300 range. The repeater is also used by KSU's Parking Services division, which use radio numbers in the 600 range. BTW, I'm not sure if Kent City officers, which use radio numbers in the 200 range, have access to the Band 3 repeater.

Kent City Police do have access to this frequency. I discovered this last night.

It was Kent City Police involved in the chase of a stolen stow police department cruiser, not Kent State. The chase was not near the university.

They switched to this freq. for a short while - until they found the stow PD cruiser abandoned in Kent, because they knew the villain could hear the KPD on the stolen stow cruiser's radio...

They knew that the stow cruiser didnt have kent state police depts freq programmed into it....
