Good morning all,

I found a new analog system in the Moncton region. Here's the description :

- Motorola 800MHz Standard System
- primary control ch : 858.4625, 858.7125
- alternate control ch : 857.2125, 858.2125
- Syst. ID : 330Dh

It seems to be some kind of Commercial Trunk system. I have submited the above info into the d/b. I need your help in id-ing the t/g on that system so they can be submited into the d/b as well. Here they are :
- 944 - talking about driveway stonea and being almost on the site (guessing some kind of paving or landscape business)
- 976
- 1424 - Construction deliveries
- 1952
- 8400 - talking about being away from the shop and propane tanks

Thanks

- 1808 : something about delivering a pumper at the garage in front of the second « hoist »
- 2096
- 8912

Ralph I've attached the 2 wiki articles you wrote on Moncton trunks into the New Brunswick wiki page. Dumb question here- those freqs also belong in the article - but to which article do those freqs belong?

We have a standard template for such things...Mike

Hey Mike,

I'm not sure what you mean. I did not submit freqs. I did submit talkgroups that I have been monitoring from the two 800MHz local systems in Moncton. Hence, don't know why you put the two wikis under Provincial Agency Pages. Those TGs have not yet been identified and they are specific to the Greater Moncton Area.

Thanks for the clarification.

See your first message. You have 2 primary control channels, 2 alternate control channels there. They're under the Provincial topic simply because I didn't know how else to categorize them. Feel free to edit the NB wiki and put them under another category.

You can document frequencies as well as unknown talkgroups there when researching a system we don't have in the database. That's part of what this is for.

I'm here a lot
I think I orphaned the WIKI page when it was renamed.

I have put a redirect from Bell Mobility Inc. to the Greater Moncton article.

Mike, they belong to the Bell Mobility Inc. system. Why did the system change name in the d/b? When I submited the system, I called it the Greater Moncton Commercial Trunk system! It's more descriptive then Bell Mobility Inc.

Actually it's 1 primary control ch : 858.4625 and three alternate control ch 858.7125, 857.2125, 858.2125

If Bell is the operator of the system it should be in the name, but the name could be a bit more descriptive, maybe Bell Mobility Commercial System or something, I dunno I'm horrible at naming stuff :D

Except... what's GMA stand for? I'm guessing Greater Moncton Area, and if so keep in mind out-of-towners are going to be trying to find information too, and location-specific acronyms don't help them!

Everyone here where I live knows HRM stands for Halifax Regional Municipality, but I would never assume anyone outside of the region would get it without having to think for a while

Things database admins have to keep in mind :)

I routinely call it the GMA and I am from NS. I think Bell Mobility GMA Commercial Trunk works great

Just heard Moncton Fire on TG 176 on the Bell Commercial Trunk system. They were responding to a call outside of city limits and they switch to that TG for the TAC channel (I think they called it ''Lutes TAC''). I read in http://forums.radioreference.com/at...n-public-safety-motorola-system-unid-t-g.html (post by Car150) that the Moncton Public Safety system has 2 sites : one in downtown (the Alma St Bell Tower - already in the d/b) and the other one in Lutes Mountain (not in the d/b).

I'm wondering if the second site for the Moncton Public Safety system is actually the site of the of the Commercial Trunk system since I heard Fire on it. Here is were I get confused, when the scanner hold on the active control channel of the 2 « systems » (of the 2 systems in the d/b : Public safety and Commercial trunk), it shows me a completly different system/site id (SID 412Dh for Moncton Public Safety and SID 330Dh for the Commercial Trunk system). Is it possible that the two sites belong to the Moncton Public Safety system? Or can MFD have 2 systems program into their radio? I'm super confused right now, can you tell!!
