I noticed on FP&L in FCC License are showing 800 Mhz now. I don't know if they 900 system is going down or switching to 800. Where I'm at in NWFL area Gulf Power is same Company that own FP&L not sure if that 800 will be tied with the System over on east side of FL.

Now that the FCC has opened up the interlaced frequencies in 800 MHz I wouldn't be surprised if they started migrating that way due to the way 900 MHz is starting to become occupied with other technologies.

I've already seen hundreds of Faux licenses being processed for the 800 here in New England for a site that doesn't even have a tower.

Look for the land-grab to occur, like was done in the 900 years ago

if you have a FPL power generating plant near you, I highly recommend that you take a look at the VHF and UHF licenses associated with that facility.... I have several confirmed freqs in use locally that are not part of the 800/900 system - most are simple 1 channel DMR machines..... the obvious conclusion here is that the power generating plants don't seem to be using the 800/900 system(s)....
